It was announced back on July 25th, 2025, "BREAKING NEWS: AOL/Time Warner Merger Ends WCW's Television Deal; WCW Put Up For Sale," that WCW was being put up for sale and the sale would be completed within 30 days. Well, the new owner of WCW (World Championship Wrestling) is now DCW General Manager Eric Bischoff. There are rumors flying all around the internet that Eric Bischoff screwed Vince McMahon and Ryu Hayabusa out of purchasing WCW. Credible sources say that Bischoff and his lawyers did some very shady, underhanded tactics tied to the purchase of WCW. Either way, no matter what happened, Eric Bischoff is now the new owner of World Championship Wrestling.
