BREAKING NEWS: Stone Cold Steve Austin Signs with WCW

Earlier tonight, WCW Owner Eric Bischoff announced live on WCW Monday Night Nitro that he had a groundbreaking announcement. After the WCW: "Royal Rumble 5" pay per view last Friday, Eric Bischoff was quoted as saying, "I'm not worried about Austin having won the Royal Rumble Match. Believe me, I always have a Plan B." Now we know why, because there was a lot more to this story.

Eric Bischoff's music hit as he made his way to the ring. Eric Bischoff grabbed the mic and said, "I really had a great time kicking Vince McMahon's ass in the Royal Rumble 5 match, but you know, I hate this guy so much I just love to stick it to him in any way I can. So, behind the scenes, someone set up a meeting between one of Vince's biggest wrestling stars and myself. Some idiot in the WWE didn't renew this guys contract and I've taken advantage of the situation. This major WWE superstar and I have been in negotiations for a short time, and I'm very excited to announce one of WCW's great acquisitions in the history of this company. I know Vince McMahon is going to be super pissed off by this, and it makes me feel so god damn good inside. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to introduce to you the newest major wrestling star here in WCW... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!"

Austin hugs Bischoff as Bischoff raises Austin's arm. Austin gets on the mic and says, "Mr. Eric Bischoff, I just want to say thank you very much for signing Stone Cold Steve Austin to a contract here in World Championship Wrestling. I'm sure between the 2 of us and the other great wrestling stars in the back we will collectively be able to whoop that piece of shit Vince McMahon's ass, once again. Vince McMahon and I have been at war for months now and there's no greater enemy than that dumb son of a bitch. Also, Goldberg, I'm fixing to whip your ass later this year and take that WCW World Heavyweight Championship at "Wrestlemania 5" and that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!" End of segment.

WCW: "Royal Rumble 5" Event Announced for May 22nd, 2026

Reports have confirmed as of this morning that Vince McMahon has accepted Eric Bischoff's challenge. Vince McMahon, was also quoted as saying, "I'm going to rip Eric Bischoff's nuts off in the ring. The Undertaker and I will be paying WCW a visit on May 22nd, 2026. You can count on that!"

WCW: "Royal Rumble 5" will be taking place from Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Arena on Friday, May 22nd, 2026. Witness an incredible night of wrestling history as Vince McMahon & The Undertaker make their WCW in ring debuts!

Eric Bischoff Challenges Vince McMahon at "Royal Rumble 5"

Earlier in the week night on WCW Monday Night Nitro, Eric Bischoff made his way to the ring to deliever what he said will be a shocking speech that change the entire wrestling industry! Eric Bischoff grabs the microphone and begins his speech.

"Ladies & gentlemen, welcome back to World Championship Wrestling and welcome back to everyone watching at home on Spike TV. WCW has been in its offseason now for several months and the entire time I have felt just like many of the wrestlers have felt. We miss competition. We totally kicked DCW's ass and put them out of business and, well yeah, that was a hell of a lot of fun, but then there also comes a time when you have to ask yourself is that really enough? Can we go bigger? Can our company go higher? I say hell yes we can go higher and that's what this speech is all about here tonight. Because I and some of the wrestlers in the back have been talking for months about going after a new challenge. 

We've been talking about going after the...WWF!!! We've been talking about going after VINCE MCMAHON!! I often wonder what would happen if I got up in the face of Vince McMahon? Would he have the balls to fight me? WCW has been kicking his company's ass in the ratings for years now. What are ya gonna to do about it, Vinnie Mac? How about this Vince? I want to lay out a challenge for you and your boys. Vince, I'm going to pick a number and enter this year's 24 Man Elimination Royal Rumble 5 Match and here's what I'm thinking. If you have the balls to show up, no matter what number I pick, you can be the entrant that enters right after me. I will kick your ass, Vince McMahon! I want to kick your ass live on pay per view in front of the entire world!! Maybe you're scared of coming to WCW all alone? Well, then I will also give 4 of your wrestlers the opportunity to take part in the 24 Man Elimination Royal Rumble 5 match. Vince McMahon, I'M CALLING YOU OUT! Will you face me or be a total coward? I guess we're all gonna find out at WCW: "Royal Rumble 5"!

WCW: "Season 5" Coming Soon

Well, it's that time of the year when WCW will be returning soon from its offseason to present "Season 5." Last year, "Season 4" ended with a huge shakeup as WCW gained ownership over DCW in a winner take all event which was presented at WCW vs. DCW: "Survivor Series 4: The Invasion Ends." A few days after the event WCW Owner, Eric Bischoff announced that he was shutting down DCW for good, firing all of their wrestlers, and stealing their television deal. So, that's the current state of affairs for WCW (World Championship Wrestling) and we're very excited to let all of our fans know that WCW will be starting up again soon.

DCW IS DEAD!!! Eric Bischoff Launches WCWFantasyLeague.com; WCW Offseason Begins

Eric Bischoff became the new owner of DCW when WCW defeated DCW in a Winner Take All pay per view event called WCW vs. DCW: "Survivor Series 4: The Invasion Ends," which took place at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Friday, September 12th, 2025.

After Bischoff gained full ownership of DCW, within 24 hours he announced that DCW would now be rebranded as WCW, and then he fired all of the DCW wrestlers from the company. He also stated that all DCW Championships would be rebranded as WCW Championships moving forward. Later in the week, he announced the new WCW "Roster" for Season 5, which will be taking place in 2026. It was also announced that the WCW will be replacing DCW's television shows. Eric Bischoff vowed to kill DCW and now he has done it!

Now today, on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, Eric Bischoff would like to take this opportunity to announce the new website for the WCW brand, which can be found at http://WCWFantasyLeague.com. WCW Steals DCW's Television Deal

DCW's television deal with Spike TV has now become very complicated due to WCW defeating DCW at WCW vs. DCW: "Survivor Series 4: The Invasion Ends," which now gives 100% ownership of DCW to Eric Bischoff. Now Eric Bischoff has taken everything a step further and has rebranded DCW as WCW. Moving forward, because of the contract DCW has with Spike TV, the new WCW shows will be replacing DCW on Spike TV. Since DCW is still under contract with Spike TV, all TV listings will now be listed as DCW WCW on the TV Guide Channel and all other television listings, both internally and externally until the DCW contract with Spike TV expires on December 31st, 2026. DCW Raw will be rebranded as WCW Nitro beginning in 2026 and DCW Smackdown will be rebranded as WCW Thunder beginning in 2026 as well. The new TV listings will simply be listed at DCW WCW, and this will be the layout for the WCW Thunder show as well. This is the update for now concerning the new WCW television show listings.
