It really looks like WCW Owner Eric Bischoff's plan kind of blew up in
his face. Earlier this month, Eric Bischoff challenged WWF Owner Vince
McMahon & some of his wrestlers to a fight. Bischoff allotted 4
spots to the WWF wrestlers in the 24 Man Elimination Royal Rumble 5 Match. The last 4 men in the Royal Rumble match were Diamond Dallas
Page, The Great Muta, Stone Cold Steve Austin, & Goldberg. In a crazy turn of events, WWF wrestler
Stone Cold Steve Austin ended up winning the Royal Rumble 5 match by
eliminating WCW World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg.
After the Royal Rumble 5 pay per view event was over, Eric Bischoff
was quoted as saying, "I'm not worried about Austin having won the Royal
Rumble Match. Believe me, I always have a Plan B."
Stone Cold Steve Austin is now eligible for a WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match at WCW: "Wrestlemania 5," which will be taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, September 4th, 2026.
