Some of the fans were sending in their questions, asking why the King of the Ring Tournament was done on a "Survivor Series" pay-per-view instead of the "King of the Ring" pay-per-view. The reason is that DCW is now scaling back on its pay per view. During DCW: "Season 1" we did 8 pay per view, and that was extremely difficult to pull off. It was far too time-consuming. So, moving forward, we will be doing 4 pay-per-view events per year, and each pay-per-view will be 1 hour in length. In making the decision to only do 4 pay-per-view "Events" per year, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel the following pay-per-views: "King of the Ring", "Backlash", "No Mercy", and "Armageddon".
Moving forward, DCW will only feature four pay-per-view "Events" per year, which will include "Royal Rumble", "Summerslam", "Wrestlemania", and "Survivor Series". The King of the Ring Tournament will now be featured as a part of our yearly "Survivor Series" pay-per-view event going forward.
