Now we will take a look at tonight's main event of "Wrestlemania 5." This match outcome will determine if the WCW or WWF wins the Winner Take All event. Now let's take a look at the match highlights.
Hollywood Hogan makes his entrance first to a very loud ovation, followed by The Rock's entrance, coming out to a mixed reaction.
The match starts out with a stare down. Then, The Rock and Hollywood Hogan start the match with a collar and elbow tie up. Hogan throws The Rock across the ring and starts posing to a thunderous crowd reaction. Both men lock up again, but this time The Rock gets the better of Hogan throwing him across the ring while the crowd boos The Rock. You can see The Rock look at the crowd and say, "Fuck you, motherfuckers!"
Next, Hogan throws The Rock into the ropes and hits him with a clothesline. Hogan then takes off his weight belt and starts whipping The Rock with it. The Rock's back is covered with bruises, and it's very red. Hogan throws The Rock into the turnbuckles. Then, Hogan climbs the ropes and hits The Rock with 10 punches while the crowd counts along. Hogan then throws The Rock into the ropes and hits him with a backdrop. Hogan is building momentum as the crowd is going crazy for him. Finally, Hollywood Hogan signals to the crowd that it's over. Hogan goes for his finishing move, The Atomic Legdrop, and he nails The Rock with it. Hogan goes for the pinfall victory, but somehow The Rock is able to kick out of this move at the count of 2.
Now The Rock does a kip up and throws Hogan into the ropes. The Rock hits Hogan with his spinebuster. Now The Rock is telling the crowd that it's time for The People's Elbow. The Rock hits the People's Elbow move and goes for the pinfall, but Hogan kicks out at 2. The Rock then gives Hogan his finishing move, The Rock Bottom. The Rock goes for the pinfall, but Hogan again kicks out at 2. The crowd is going crazy in attendance.
Several minutes later, Hogan is beating the hell out of The Rock and has had the advantage for the last several minutes. Hogan goes for The Atomic Leg Drop again, but he misses. The Rock picks Hogan up and hits him with 3 Rock Bottoms for the pinfall victory at 17:54.
WINNER: THE ROCK
After the match, Hollywood Hogan is holding his damaged ribcage. Hogan extends his hand to The Rock as a sign of respect. Hogan and The Rock shake hands and then pose in the ring together as the crowd cheers loudly for Hogan. The Rock leaves the ring as Hogan stays in the ring posing for the crowd. However, nWo members Scott Hall & Kevin Nash are very angry that Hogan was shaking The Rock's hand and hugging him. So, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash start beating the hell out of Hogan. After a minute, The Rock runs back to the ring to help Hogan. The Rock & Hollywood Hogan end up beating the hell out of Hogan's nWo partners Scott Hall & Kevin Nash. Hogan and The Rock pose in the ring together to end the show.
