The first and last time that Goldberg and Hollywood Hogan faced off in a match was for the then WCW World Heavyweight Championship back at WCW vs. DCW: "Wrestlemania 4: The Invasion Continues" back on Friday, August 15th, 2025. So, now they will face off again exactly one year later.

Heavyweight Championship match between Goldberg and Hollywood Hogan
earlier tonight at WCW: "Summerslam 5."
The match began when Hollywood Hogan threw Goldberg into the ropes and
body slammed Goldberg at the 0:09 mark, but Goldberg got right back up. Hogan ran
at Goldberg, and Goldberg lifted him high into the air with Hogan landing on
his chest. Then, the match goes back and forth for several minutes.
At 9:40, Goldberg hit Hollywood Hogan with a sidewalk slam. Goldberg
went for the pinball victory, but Hogan kicked out at 2. A few minutes
later at 11:12, Hogan threw Goldberg into the ropes and hit him with the big boot.
At 11:23, Goldberg quickly got up and Hogan rolled him up into a small
package, but Goldberg kicked out at 2. Later, Goldberg hit Hollywood
Hogan with a huge spear at 12:24. Next, Goldberg nailed Hogan with his
finishing move, The Jackhammer. Goldberg went for the pinball and gained the victory at 12:46.
