D-Generation X Captures World Tag Team Championships at "Wrestlemania 5"

This feud began at DCW vs. WCW: "Survivor Series 4: The Invasion Ends" back on Friday, September 12th, 2025, when Chris Jericho was facing off against the then DCW Intercontinental Champion Vengeance. Raven had come out to help Jericho beat the fuck out of Vengeance. Soon after, Triple H made his DCW debut, hitting Raven with a Pedigree, but Triple H was then struck in the head with a steel chair by Chris Jericho.

8 months later at WCW: "Royal Rumble 5, Triple H gave Chris Jericho a Pedigree, which resulted in Mr. Perfect dropkicking Chris Jericho over the top rope during the 24 Man Royal Rumble 5 Elimination Match. So, Chris Jericho has been furious ever since about it.

Then, Plan B challenged Triple H to a handicapped match at WCW: "Summerslam 5," which resulted in Plan B getting the victory. After the match, Plan B slammed Triple H's head through a car window in the parking lot.

A few weeks ago on WCW Monday Night Nitro, Kurt Angle said, "I would be happy to let Triple H have another shot against Plan B at Wrestlemania 5, but we know this guy is a loser and he has no friends. hahaha!" Then, Triple H appeared on the titantron saying, "Kurt, I do accept your challenge for Wrestlemania, and don't worry, my mystery man and I are going to kick your asses at Wrestlemania!" This is what led to tonight's match at "Wrestlemania 5." So, it looks as if a one year long feud is about to culminate here tonight. Now let's review what happened in the match.

First, the WCW World Tag Team Champions Plan B make their way to the ring. Next, Triple H makes his entrance, and finally, the mystery man is revealed as The Heartbreak Kid SHAWN MICHAELS! These 2 men make up the team called D-GENERATION X!

The match starts off fast with Shawn Michaels giving Kurt Angle a snap suplex. Michaels pretty much dominates Angle for the first few minutes of the match. Then, Chris Jericho and Triple H start fighting, with Triple H hitting Jericho with a huge spinebuster.

By 5:22, Michaels hits Jericho with his finishing move, Sweet Chin Music, and then Michaels turns around and nails Angle with Sweet Chin Music at 5:27. Shawn Michaels goes for the pinfall victory, but it's broken up by Chris Jericho.

Triple H gives Jericho a huge Pedigree at the 11:40 mark, and he goes for the pinfall victory, but it's broken up by Kurt Angle.

Eventually at 12:39, Shawn Michaels hits Kurt Angle with his Sweet Chin Music superkick again and gains the pinfall victory at 12:46.
